Year 11 – Maths (Applications)
Year 11 marks the transition into senior secondary studies, where mathematics becomes increasingly specialized and practical. At NexGen Tutoring, our Year 11 Mathematical Applications program focuses on the “real-world” power of maths. - Univariate Data Analysis: Students learn the “Statistical Investigation Process”—from collecting data to making sense of a single variable and comparing numerical data across different groups.
- Advanced Trigonometry: We extend beyond right-angled triangles to solve problems involving non-right triangles and calculate the area of any triangular shape with precision.
- Linear Modeling & Graphs: Your child will master straight-line graphs, Simultaneous Equations, and “piece-wise” or step graphs—learning how to graph real-world scenarios like tax brackets or travel costs.
